The Contract
Hermione Jean Granger (b. 19 September 1979) was an English Muggle-born witch born to an Unnamed Father and Rose Granger. She was married to Lord Voldemort due to the contract made by Minister Fudge, who was later killed by Voldemort himself.
Death Eaters attack, and Ron dies.
They had not prepared for this, but all of a sudden, Death Eaters attacked them, and one of the Death Eaters killed Ron in front of her. Hermione screamed in horror and denial. After Ron's death, Hermione didn't come out of the room for a long time. Harry wanted to help her, but she wouldn't let him. She didn't even go to the Weasleys because she felt like she had let them down, and they didn't deserve her.
Forced Marriage with Voldemort
Due to the arrangement that Fudge made between Granger and Voldemort, Hermione was forced to move in; however, both were unhappy that they were married. Voldemort wanted to annul his marriage to Granger, but he couldn't. He ordered the killing of Fudge, hoping to annul the marriage, but failed. However, he added extra rules to the contract that Granger can't kill him. Hermione reads a paper in the mansion stating that Fudge is dead, and she knows Voldemort is responsible.
Pregnancy and Birth of Dimitri
Hermonie's pregnancy was unplanned for her and her husband because Voldemort did not want a child. However, when the baby was born, he was no longer mad or angry. Hermione read his mind and thought he was planning to kill their son, but Voldemort said it was only a joke.
Death and Rebirth
Years later, after the death of Harry, in the cave, Voldemort and she went to look for the Elixir of Life; however, Hermione felt something inside her and fell. Voldemort catches her and holds her. He finds the Elixir of Life potion and forces her to drink it. Hermione drinks it and becomes immortal, which means she never dies.
Powers and Abilities
- Mind-reading: the magical ability to perceive the thoughts or feelings of others through extrasensory means. Hermione possessed this ability when a shop owner drugged her and Voldemort. After that, she was able to read her husband's mind.
- Transfiguration: Hermione was particularly talented in transfiguration. She was the first in her class to succeed at transfiguring a match into a needle in their first lesson, long before any other student. In 1994, she was the only one able to transform a Hedgehog into a pincushion. Hermione earned an 'Outstanding' in her O.W.L. exam, learning to vanish objects, one of the hardest spells. In 1995, she could vanish Harry Potter's potion after believing him to be finished with it and a kitten by mid-year - the hardest vanishment challenge. Hermione was very skilled at conjuration, an advanced type of transfiguration. In her sixth year, she conjured a flock of canaries. By the next year, she could conjure a wreath of flowers (likely with Orchideous) and a flask non-verbally. Hermione could also perform Human Transfiguration, which is noted to be very difficult, and did so in 1998 to disguise Ron during the break-in at Gringotts Bank. She could also cast various transfiguration spells, such as the Lapifors Spell, Draconifors Spell, Snufflifors Spell, Avifors Spell, Ducklifors, Pullus, and Vermiculus.
- Alchemy: Hermione had read a book on Alchemy and the Philosopher's Stone in her first year, which she understood well. In her sixth year, she easily understood Golpalott's Third Law.
- Healing magic: Hermione had impressive skills in and knowledge of healing magic. She knew the Mandrake's healing properties in her second year and skillfully took care of Harry Potter's wounds from fighting Nagini and Ron Weasley's splinting wound in 1997, using the Essence of Dittany. She was also knowledgeable of healing spells, but needed to be more confident using them on a Splinched Ron, as she feared causing him more damage.
- Dark Arts: Hermione was not known for her ability to perform dark magic, and the extent of her capacity is truly unknown, but after marriage to Voldemort, it could be assumed, given her borderline genius status, that she was no slouch, as she was able to successfully cast various potent dark magic. When she went to Hogwarts once, she was able to cast the Leg-Locker Curse and Full Body-Bind Curse in her first year, the Jelly-Legs Jinx in her sixth, and successfully cast a Stinging Hex at a moment's notice. Hermione had enough skill to develop a very sophisticated jinx that would deform the face of a person who betrayed the D.A., which she taught to her comrades. She also cast the Oppugno Jinx to send several conjured canaries at Ron Weasley in 1996, to express her annoyance and anger at him for kissing Lavender Brown.
Relationships
Family
Parents:
Mr and Mrs Granger were Muggle dentists who seemed proud of their witch daughter. They appeared to be accepting of the wizarding world, as they went shopping with Hermione in Diagon Alley and allowed her to spend several holidays with the Weasley family, but did not approve of their daughter using magic as a quick fix, as indicated by their not allowing Hermione to magically fix her teeth. They corresponded by owl post with their daughter throughout the school year, but other than one holiday in France with her parents, Hermione spent almost all of her time in the wizarding world. In 1995, she planned to go skiing with them during the Christmas holidays, but ended up going to 12 Grimmauld Place to try to cheer Harry up instead. Hermione told her parents that the reason for her cancellation was to study for exams, indicating that her parents expected her to do well in school and were probably not aware of the extent of their daughter's involvement in activities relating to the Second Wizarding War.
To protect them during the height of the war, Hermione modified her parents' memories in 1997 to make them believe they were entirely different people, and they left the country. After the war, she did not find them in Australia because they were kidnapped by some guys who believed dentists were a danger, but Voldemort found them after eight months; however, Hermione's father was killed, and only Mrs. Granger was alive. Voldemort brought Mrs Granger to their house so that she could rest, but Hermione decided that she had to buy her mother her own house.
Husband and Children:
Lord Voldemort
Voldemort is her husband. Their marriage was not planned; it was arranged by Minister Fudge, who was killed after them. However, this marriage was undone, which means nobody can cancel this. Hermione was outraged when she heard this, and Voldemort had not planned this marriage at all; however, Hermione did have to move to Malfoy Manor to live with him and the rest of the Malfoys' family.
Dimitri Salazar Riddle
Dimitri was an unplanned child for both Hermione and Voldemort. He was their first and only son and was born around 1998 or 2000.
Lilith Merope Riddle
Lilith was also an unplanned child. She is their second and only daughter, who was born in 2003.
